Description: Cherry trees line the Hocking River bordering Ohio University Athens, Ohio campus. Lin Hall sets atop a hill overlooking the Hocking and is part of the old Athens Mental Health Facility. It was originally named the Athens Lunatic Asylum and was in operation from 1874 until its closing in 1993. Ohio University has since acquired this area and has renamed it The Ridges. Many of the buildings are in disrepair, but several have been renovated and used as offices, small business planning and research. Lin Hall currently is used for art shows and houses the Kennedy Museum. Just a little different twist on March Madness.
