Removing Side Covers |

If you need access to the fuses or fuel pump on the left side of the bike or to check the level in the coolant bottle on the right side here's all you need to do.
You'll need a 5mm hex wrench. Remove the screw shown below. Make sure to keep track of the plastic washer under the screw heads. Right side shown.
Next you need to pull the cover straight out as it is held on with two tabs in rubber grommets on the front side as shown here.
To remove the center cover you will need a 10mm socket and also a phillips screwdriver. There are two bolts (one on the bottom of each side) to be removed and also a phillips screw located by the coolant resevoir cap. The spark plug wires to the rear cylinders will also have to be removed from the holder on the front of the cover
Here is the screw by the coolant cap.
To assemble just reverse the procedure.
