Can someone refresh my memory on the mod for running a new Gel battery with the sensor port on the 1g .. Is it a 10Kohm resistor to ground in the sensor line ?? Got a email from a old friend who is changed out to a Gel battery and wants the light to go out on the battery indicator ..

Thanks in advance

Marshall, I think the standard answer is a 2k ohm 1/4 watt resistor. When I did that mod on my '83, however, I had to use a 1k to get the light to go out. The other thing is a 1/8 watt resistor is what I found available at Radio Shack and that is enough for that very low amp circuit.

The connection should go to the "accessary" hot terminal in the fuse box.
