Bulb Replacements
Has anyone compiled a list of all of the replacement bulbs and numbers used on the 84 VR? I know the manual lists specs, but I’m referring to replacements like G.E. and Sylvania bulb numbers. In addition, the bike has accessories like brake rotor covers with 4 bulbs, a wrap-around light bar on the rear, and front fender side lights. While my lights are working at present, I am finding different part numbers on the bulbs, and wonder what the “correct” bulb number would be for these locations. Also, since my bike had wrong values on a number of fuses, what is the correct amperage fuse for the cruise control vacuum pump? I found this in-line fuse holder behind the headlight, and the manual does not show a value for it. -Thanks- Al Parry For starters: 1-headlight H4 or 9003 2-front running/turn signals 1157 2 of em 3-rear turn signals 1156 2 of em 4-rear brake/running 1157 2 of em 1157s are dual filament, 1156 is single filament readily available just about anywhere---standard trade numbers regardless of mfr The add-on stuff I have no clue...... the light bars and some of that stuff could be common as heck 198s or 194s.. again a standard trade number. - paulmarsh
