Trunk Modifications

Back in 87 stopped in to have my bike looked @ and the maint guy said I didn't have the trunk mod and my trunk was split and that he had ordered me a new one . When it didn't have the mod with it he installed one. Never had any more trouble. All it amounted to was a large spacer washer and rubber grommet in the two rear mount bolts on the 86 and 87 trunks to keep them from splitting the plastic. The "scoot boot" was around $900 without the armrests, backrest and lock mechanism......Scott Lillis -
