Last summer I complained of the heat on my legs from my 83 Venture and he took one of the body panels and made a set of heat shields out of smoked grey plexiglas. They looked great and have worked fine. He has made and sold several more sets to VNet folks and has received rave reviews. He also developed a direct replacement for the inserts that came on the 86-93 Ventures that really add to the looks of the bike.

Marshall Gammon ordered the first set of these and was very pleased.  He has posted a picture to VNet and has several on his web page of the installation process. The other products Rick is working on are wind wings that look like they belong on the Venture, a radio cover, replacement doors for the storage compartments on the Venture, windshields of custom heights and an aftermarket radio mounting made of plexiglas that is really sharp and durable. He will develop these other products over the winter and will have them ready by spring.

He is a great guy who has offered to work on a one to one basis with VNet folks. He goes so far to offer free installation of his heat shields at no extra charge,if a person would like to ship him the body parts.  He doesn't have an internet presence or even an email account. I am handling all of his orders for him until such time as he gets online. I would like to see him listed in the aftermarket vendors, or even in the showcase vendors.

With fewer and fewer 1st generation aftermarket items being available someone like Rick is a great asset to our community.

I had actually been looking for something a little more compact but went over here as a favor so they could build the adapter. I really like this one and I am going to take my Road Star over next week so they can build an adapter for that also. Easily lifts the Venture with only one person operating and is very stable.
